How to Forward Calls from Rogers Wireless to Ringing.io

Use Rogers Wireless GSM codes to forward calls to your Ringing.io number. Rogers publishes the exact code list — it takes about 30 seconds from any handset.

CACanadian MobileWireless

Canadian wireless carriers use the GSM MMI code format (*21*number#), not the North American star codes (*72) that US carriers use. The codes below come straight from the Rogers support article. Rogers also exposes forwarding in the MyRogers app, but the dialer code is the fastest path.

1

Forward every call to Ringing.io

Send 100% of incoming Rogers calls to your Ringing.io number — your handset never rings.

When to use this: You want the AI receptionist to answer everything. You will still see every call in the Ringing.io dashboard with the full transcript.
  1. 1

    Open the phone dialer

Open the standard phone / dialer app on your Rogers device.

  2. 2

Dial the Rogers Unconditional forwarding code

Dial *21* immediately followed by your full 10-digit Ringing.io number and the # symbol. Include the area code even for local numbers. Do not include the country code 1.

    *21*<10-digit Ringing.io number>#
  3. 3

Press call and wait for confirmation

Press the call/send button. The Rogers network will reply with an on-screen confirmation that Call Forwarding is active.

  4. 4

    Test it

Call your Rogers number from another phone. It should ring through to Ringing.io and your AI receptionist should pick up.

How to undo: Dial ##21# and press call to permanently cancel unconditional forwarding. Use #21# instead if you want to temporarily disable while keeping the destination on file — then reactivate with *21#.

2

Forward only when you miss the call (no-answer / busy / unreachable)

Your phone rings first. If you do not answer, or the line is busy, or your phone is off, the call is forwarded to Ringing.io.

When to use this: You want to take calls yourself when you can, but never miss one. The AI catches everything else.
  1. 1

    Forward on no-answer

Dial *61* followed by your Ringing.io number and # to forward calls that ring but go unanswered.

    *61*<10-digit Ringing.io number>#
  2. 2

    Forward when busy

Dial *67* followed by your Ringing.io number and # to forward calls when your line is busy on another call.

    *67*<10-digit Ringing.io number>#
  3. 3

    Forward when unreachable

Dial *62* followed by your Ringing.io number and # to forward calls when your phone is off, in airplane mode, or out of coverage.

    *62*<10-digit Ringing.io number>#

How to undo: Use ##61#, ##67#, ##62# to permanently remove each rule. Or ##002# to clear every forwarding rule at once.

Note: Rogers explicitly notes: "Conditional forwarding will not work when voicemail is activated." If conditional forwarding seems to be ignored, you need to ask Rogers to disable voicemail on your line — call 611 or chat from the MyRogers app.

3

After-hours only (no native schedule on Rogers Wireless)

Rogers Wireless does not have a native time-of-day forwarding schedule, so you have two options.

When to use this: You want to answer your own phone during business hours and have Ringing.io cover nights and weekends.
  1. 1

Recommended — publish your Ringing.io number

Put your Ringing.io number on your website, Google Business Profile, and signage. Configure business hours inside Ringing.io. In-hours calls transfer to your Rogers line; after-hours calls are handled by the AI. Zero Rogers configuration required.

  2. 2

Manual alternative — toggle *21* at end of day

If you must keep your Rogers number published, manually dial *21*<Ringing.io number># when you close, and ##21# when you reopen. Some users automate this via a Shortcuts (iOS) or Tasker (Android) routine.

How to undo: For the manual approach, ##21# turns forwarding off any time. For the Ringing.io-as-published-number approach, change business hours in the Ringing.io dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

Does Rogers charge for call forwarding?

Rogers Wireless plans that include unlimited Canada-wide minutes do not incur additional charges for forwarded calls within Canada. On plans with metered minutes, forwarded calls count against your minute allowance. Forwarding to a US number may incur long-distance minutes — check your plan in the MyRogers app.

Will SMS and mobile data still work while forwarding is on?

Yes. Rogers call forwarding only redirects voice calls. SMS, MMS, iMessage, and data continue to arrive on your Rogers device as normal.

How do I check whether forwarding is currently active?

Rogers supports the status check codes *#21#, *#61#, *#67#, *#62# — dial any of them and press call to see whether that rule is set and which number it points to.

Why does my conditional forwarding code (*61*, *67*, *62*) get ignored?

Rogers states that conditional forwarding will not work when voicemail is activated, because Rogers voicemail intercepts the call first. Either use unconditional forwarding *21* (which bypasses voicemail), or call 611 and ask Rogers to disable voicemail on your line.

Can I forward my Rogers number to a US Ringing.io number?

Yes. Rogers allows forwarding to any North American number including 10-digit US numbers. Most current Rogers plans include Canada-US minutes; forwarded calls to a US number count against that allowance.

Can Rogers forward calls only during business hours?

Rogers Wireless does not natively support time-of-day forwarding schedules. The recommended approach is to publish your Ringing.io number as your business line and configure business hours inside the Ringing.io dashboard — Ringing.io then routes in-hours calls to your Rogers line and handles after-hours itself.

I have a Rogers Home Phone landline — do these codes work?

No. Rogers Home Phone (cable telephony) uses the North American star codes: *72 to activate unconditional forwarding, *73 to deactivate, *92 for no-answer. The GSM codes on this page apply only to Rogers Wireless mobile lines.

Don't have a Ringing.io number yet?

Get one in five minutes, set up your AI receptionist, then come back to this page to forward Rogers Wireless.
