How to Forward Calls from Videotron to Ringing.io

Use Videotron mobile GSM codes to forward calls to your Ringing.io number — the same codes that work across every GSM/LTE Canadian carrier.

Videotron Mobile (including Helix Mobile) runs on a Canadian LTE/5G network and uses the standard GSM MMI code format (*21*number#), not the North American star codes (*72) that US carriers use. Videotron support content is available in French and English — toggle FR/EN on videotron.com. The dialer codes work the same regardless of UI language. You can also manage call forwarding from the Mon Videotron app, but the dialer code is the fastest path.

    Open the phone dialer

    Open the standard phone / dialer app on your Videotron mobile device.

    Dial the GSM Unconditional forwarding code

    Dial *21* immediately followed by your full 10-digit Ringing.io number and the # symbol. Include the area code even for local numbers. Do not include the country code 1.

    Press call and wait for confirmation

    Press the call/send button. The Videotron network will reply with an on-screen confirmation (renvoi inconditionnel activé / unconditional forward activated).

    Test it

    Call your Videotron number from another phone. It should ring through to Ringing.io and your AI receptionist should pick up.

How to undo: Dial #21# and press call. Videotron confirms the unconditional forward is cancelled and your handset will ring normally again.

Forward only when you miss the call (no-answer / busy / unreachable)

Your phone rings first. If you do not answer, or the line is busy, or your phone is off, the call is forwarded to Ringing.io.

When to use this: You want to take calls yourself when possible, but never miss one. The AI handles everything you miss.

    Dial *61* followed by your Ringing.io number and # to forward unanswered calls. Press call.

    Dial *67* followed by your Ringing.io number and # to forward calls when you are on another call.

How to undo: Use #61#, #67#, #62# to deactivate each rule. Or ##002# to clear every forwarding rule at once.

Note: Videotron voicemail (boîte vocale) intercepts unanswered calls before conditional forwarding kicks in. If *61*/*67*/*62* are ignored, either switch to unconditional *21* (which bypasses voicemail) or contact Videotron support and ask to disable voicemail on your mobile line.

After-hours only (no native schedule on Videotron mobile)

Videotron mobile does not have a native time-of-day forwarding schedule, so you have two options.

When to use this: You want to answer your own phone during business hours and have Ringing.io cover nights and weekends.

    Recommended — publish your Ringing.io number

    Put your Ringing.io number on your website, Google Business Profile, and signage. Configure business hours inside Ringing.io. In-hours calls transfer to your Videotron line; after-hours calls are handled by the AI. Zero Videotron configuration required.

    Manual alternative — toggle *21* at end of day

    If you must keep your Videotron number published, manually dial *21*<Ringing.io number># when you close, and #21# when you reopen. Some users automate this via a Shortcuts (iOS) or Tasker (Android) routine.

How to undo: For the manual approach, #21# turns forwarding off any time. For the Ringing.io-as-published-number approach, change business hours in the Ringing.io dashboard.

Does Videotron charge for call forwarding?

Videotron mobile plans that include unlimited Canada-wide minutes do not incur additional charges for forwarded calls within Canada. On metered plans, forwarded calls count against your minute allowance. Forwarding to a US number consumes long-distance or Canada-US minutes — check your plan in Mon Videotron.

Will SMS and data still work on my Videotron line while forwarding is on?

Yes. Videotron mobile call forwarding only redirects voice calls. SMS, MMS, and mobile data continue to arrive on your Videotron device normally.

How do I check whether forwarding is currently active?

Dial *#21# and press call to see the status of unconditional forwarding. *#61#, *#67#, *#62# check the conditional rules. The iOS Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding screen also shows the current unconditional state.

Is the Videotron support page in French or English?

Both. Videotron publishes support content in French (soutien.videotron.com) and English (videotron.com/en/support). Use the FR/EN toggle in the top navigation to switch. The dialer codes themselves work identically regardless of UI language — *21*, *61*, *67*, *62* are international GSM standards.

Can I forward my Videotron number to a US Ringing.io number?

Yes. Videotron allows forwarding to any 10-digit Canadian or US (country code 1) number. Most current Videotron Canada-US plans cover this; otherwise long-distance minutes apply.

Why is my call going to Videotron voicemail instead of Ringing.io?

Most commonly, you used a conditional code (*61*, *67*, *62*) but Videotron voicemail picks up before forwarding triggers. Two fixes: (1) switch to unconditional forwarding *21*<number># which bypasses voicemail entirely, or (2) contact Videotron support and ask to disable voicemail on your mobile line.

Can Videotron forward calls only during business hours?

Videotron mobile does not natively support time-of-day forwarding schedules. The recommended approach is to publish your Ringing.io number as your business line and configure business hours in the Ringing.io dashboard — Ringing.io routes in-hours calls to your Videotron line and handles after-hours itself.
